Large-scale action in Year of Ecology on Lake Glubokoe. Tatarstan joined International Day of Reservoirs Treatment.

Today, a large-scale ecological action “International Day of Reservoirs Treatment” was held on Lake Glubokoe. The event brought together about 500 volunteers. The Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Farid Abdulganiev greeted the participants of the action: “Our task is to draw the attention of the Tatarstan people, first of all, young people to preserving our nature. We hope that by such actions we can instill love and respect for the unique natural resources of our republic,” the Minister said, and thanked those who come for their participation.

Today, the coastal strip of the lake and its bottom were cleared of garbage, and information signposts were installed. In addition, specialists of the Ministry of Ecology with the help of a mobile laboratory made an express analysis of the natural water of Lake Glubokoe.
About 500 people joined the environmental action this year: employees of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, divers of the Russian Geographical Society in RT, members of the Dynamo in RT and the United Russia party, representatives of the Center for Special Communications and Information of the Federal Service Protection of the Russian Federation in RT, the Federation of the underwater sport of RT, volunteers of the Confederations Cup of FIFA 2017, ecological movement Budetchisto, teachers and students of Kazan College of communal services, activists of the military-patriotic public movement Unarmia, members of the regional branch of the All-Russian Popular Front in RT, employees of Eldorado LLC, and many unindifferent citizens of the republic.
The joint environmental action of the Ministry of Ecology and the RGO on Lake Glubokoe is the third in this year. The organizers plan to hold six more events in Kazan, Chistopol, and Naberezhnye Chelny.
