“The most beautiful country – 2017”. Authors of the best works will receive 250,000 roubles

“Capture the beauty of native land!” Tatarstan amateur photographers are invited to participate in the III Contest of the Russian Geographical Society “The most beautiful country”. The contest aims to draw attention to the conservation of natural and cultural heritage of Russia, as well as the development of respect for the environment through the art of photography. Everyone can participate regardless of age and place of residence.

The contest is held in the following nominations:

- “The most beautiful country. Landscape” (landscapes ofRussia, showing the beauty of wild nature of our homeland);

- “Wild animals” (photos of unique moments from the wild animallife);

- “Birds” (scenes from the wild birdslife, their interactions with one another and the environment);

- “Russian caves” (photos which show the beauty of caves in Russia);

- “Macromir” (photos which show the beauty of invisible and complex organization of macrocosm);

- “From dusk till dawn” (photos that show the life of wildlife at night time);

- “Underwater world” (photos showing moments from the life of marine and freshwater flora and fauna of Russia);

- “Bird’s-eye viewsof Russia” (photos showing the beauty of wild nature, seen from the air);

- “World in our hands” (provocative photographs showing human influence on the natural world of wild nature of Russia);

- “Peoples of Russia” (photos showing the iniquity of the peoples of Russia who have not lost their culturein the age of information and modern technologies);

- “Cultural heritage of Russia” (photos of monumental artefacts of our country that are on the verge of extinction);

- “Young photographer” (category for novice photographers under 13 years old);

- “Audience Award” (category where the winner is determined by voting on the Photo Contest website).

To participate in the contest “The most beautiful country”, register on the website of the Russian Geographical Society photo.rgo.ru and sent photographs before 31 July 2017. Winners in each categorywill be announced in September 2017. Authors of the best works will receive a cash prize of 250,000 roubles.
