Schoolchildren of Tatarstan, Mari El, and Kirov region summed up results of scientific research. Forum “Children in harmony with nature” held in Baltasinsky district

In the framework of the Year of Ecology, the interregional ecological forum “Children in harmony with nature” was held in the Nurinersky school of the Baltasinsky district. The event was attended by schoolchildren of grades 5-11 of the educational institutions of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Kirov region, and the Republic of Mari El. The deputy Minister of ecology and natural resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, the chief state inspector of Tatarstan in the field of environmental protection Fayaz Shakirov addressed the forum participants with a welcoming speech. “Every inhabitant of Tatarstan should be interested in the nature of his native land, study water and forest resources, animal and plant life and make efforts to preserve them. The forum is aimed at increasing the interest of schoolchildren in the issues of ecology, environmental safety, preservation and study of biodiversity. It is very important for us that the younger generation understand that nature is our home. And caring for nature, preserving its natural appearance, helping the animal and vegetable world are the foundation of ecological education,” said Fayaz Shakirov
Scientific research works of schoolchildren were presented in three sections:
“Ecological problems of flora and fauna of the native land”,
“Protected territories and objects of the native land”,
“Erosion processes on the land”.
During the forum an exhibition devoted to the Year of Ecology was also held. The participants of the event presented to the audience the products made of environmentally friendly or waste material.
