In Year of Ecology, first meeting of youth ECO-staffin Kazan

The issues of ecological activities in Tatarstan were discussed at the first meeting of the youth environmental staff. The event was held in the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Tatarstan. The ECO-staff included representatives of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of RT, the Ministry of Youth and Sports of RT, the Ministry of Forestry of RT, the Ministry of Education and Science of RT, representatives of educational organizations, non-profit organizations, and activists of youth organizations. The meeting considered the plan of volunteer activities in Tatarstan, timed for the Year of Ecology in Russia in 2017. During this year, a series of events will be held to draw attention to environmental issues, various projects, campaigns, wastepaper and rubbishcollection, planting trees and shrubs are planned. Particular attention will be paid to working with young people for the purpose of ecological education and development of ecological behaviour. In Tatarstan, the head of the staff is the specialist of the Center for the Development of Volunteerism of the Republic of Tatarstan Regional youth public organization, the head of the project “Green GTO” Dmitry Spiridonov. The meetings of the youth environmental headquarters will be held regularly.
