Another criminal case for illegal extraction of common mineral resources at the Kama River This time, the damage amounted to 35 million rubles.

Inspectors of the Cis-Kama Territorial Department under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan detected unauthorized extraction of common mineral resources in Elabuga in the course of the state ecological monitoring of the Kama River.

Sand and gravel mix was extracted using a dredger "Portovy-4" that extracted mineral resources and loaded them on to the barge "Okskiy 38 I". According to the documents, mineral resources have been extracted there for almost a month. Total amount of extracted mineral resources made up 200 thousand tons. According to the estimates of the ecological specialists, the damage inflicted on the mineral resources amounted to 34 million 887 thousand 500 rubles. A criminal case was initiated over this fact by the Local Police Department for Naberezhnye Chelny under Article 171, part 1, of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (Carrying out of entrepreneurial activity without registration or without a license in cases when such a license is obligatory, if such an act inflicted a large damage on citizens, organizations or the state, or if it involved extraction of large revenue).
