One of the most popular places for public recreation - the coastal area of the "Naberezhnaya" beach in Verkhny Uslon - was cleaned today in the framework of the Volga Day

A large-scale cleaning campaign devoted to the Volga Day was held today on the territory of the "Naberezhnaya" beach in Verkhny Uslon village. Head of the Central Territorial Department under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, Ilkham Sabirov, representatives of the Executive Committee and the Council of Verkhny Uslon Municipal District, fellow workers of the Central District Hospital, specialists of the RPA "Tatcommunenergo" OJSC, as well as pupils of Verkhny Uslon secondary and specialized schools went out to clean the coastal area. "A great number of plastic and glass bottles, cellulose film and food waste accumulated on the coast of the Volga River, and our duty today is not only to clean the territory from litter, but also to make an effort and preserve such cleanliness for a long time", acknowledged Ilkham Sabirov.  He expressed his gratitude to all the participants of the campaign for caring attitude to nature of the motherland, and he acknowledged that today's task is to promote ecological education of the young generation, and join the initiatives of citizens, organizations and state authorities to protect the environment. All in all, more than 150 persons participated in the event. More than 30 tons of litter were collected and removed. "To be useful and helpful – this is the slogan of everyone who came today to this beach definitely not to rest. Although we know the simple truth - it is never clean where it is cleaned - and this truth is relevant like never before", acknowledged participants of the cleaning campaign. They truly hope that holiday-makes who will spend time on the coast of the Volga River will appreciate their work and will know better than to litter the environment.
