Alexander Shadrikov: "Ecology unites us!". The Ministry of Ecology held a New Year's Eve meeting with activists of public organizations of the republic
Today, the Ministry of Ecology summed up the results of the year with eco–activists of the republic - participants of the youth environmental movement "It will be clean" and the regional branch of the Russian Geographical Society in Tatarstan. The event was attended by Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Alexander Shadrikov, Head of the Tatarstan branch of the Russian Ecological Society, Deputy of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan Azat Ziganshin, head of the regional branch of the Russian Geographical Society in the Republic of Tatarstan Dmitry Shiller, Chairman of the Public Council under the Ministry of Ecology Nail Gazeev.
In his opening speech, the Minister of Ecology recalled that this year Tatarstan became the winner of the All-Russian campaign on cleaning the shores of "Water of Russia" for the third time. Alexander Shadrikov noted that this victory is a victory for all residents of Tatarstan and certainly a great merit of the activists of the republic.
"I really appreciate that you believe in us, and we believe in you. We do a lot together. I have already said more than once that ecology unites us. We all want to drink clean water, walk in clean forests. We are doing all this together with you and we are already seeing the results," said the Minister of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan.
Now in the republic more than 10 thousand children have become participants of the youth environmental movement "It will be clean". This year, they held more than 700 environmental awareness events, 105 environmental campaigns, organized yard camps and holidays, and numerous environmental campaigns.
Andrey Agarkov, Deputy Chairman of the regional branch of the Russian Geographical Society in the Republic of Tatarstan, spoke about the events of the Russian Geographical Society. This year, more than 5,000 people took part in environmental campaigns. Within the framework of the pilot project "Free Flow of the Kazanka River" initiated by the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan, 25 blockages on the river were cleared, 25 km of the river were traversed, 480 bags of garbage were collected, 1200 tons of wood were lifted from the water. The RGS have also become mentors for the youngest ecologists – young naturalists, now more than 2,000 children in Tatarstan are members of this movement. This year, schoolchildren of the Republic, young naturalists of the Republic of Tatarstan won the first All-Russian Children's Environmental Forum in the nomination "Popular Water", which was held in Chelyabinsk. Let us recall that since 2018, the Ministry, together with interested organizations, has been working to intensify the activities of the movement of young naturalists of the Republic of Tatarstan.
Also this year, with the scientific support of the scientific community and the involvement of volunteers, a pilot project for the reintroduction of the saker falcon in the republic was implemented. The main goal of the project is to revive the population of the red book Saker falcon in our republic. The project last year became the winner of the SIBUR grant competition "Formula of Good Deeds", announced as part of the program of social investments in environmental protection.
Also, the project on the reintroduction of the saker falcon became the winner of the V All-Russian competition of the best environmental practices "Reliable partner – Ecology" in the nomination "The best project in the field of conservation of biological diversity".
The Minister of Ecology thanked all the participants of the meeting for their active work and wished everyone that the new coming year would be a year of new prospects, interesting projects and ideas.
