Tatarstan became the winner in the nomination "The best start and coverage of the program "Recycling School: electronics"

Today the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of Russia summed up the results of the federal environmental program "School of Recycling: Electronics". Tatarstan was among the winning regions. The departmental awards of the Ministry of Natural Resources were awarded to the heads of the authorities of the subjects where the most favorable conditions were created for the separate collection of waste of electronic and electrical equipment in 2022. The leaders also included Moscow, Nizhny Novgorod, Tula regions, the Republics of Mordovia and Mari El.

At the ceremony of awarding the winners, which took place today in Moscow, Deputy Minister of Ecology Olga Manidicheva expressed gratitude to all the organizers of the Program "Recycling School: electronics" and noted: "The program is in great demand, residents have actively joined its implementation, one of the first actions to collect old electrical equipment and transfer it to recycling was supported by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, because if you want to change the world for the better – start with yourself! Further promotion of the Program and new ideas!"

Also, the Minister of Ecology of Tatarstan Alexander Shadrikov was awarded a letter of thanks from the Minister of Natural Resources and Ecology of Russia for effective work on the formation of a system for the separate collection of electronic and electrical waste within the framework of the federal environmental program "School of Recycling: Electronics".

Let us recall that an agreement on cooperation aimed at environmental education and enlightenment of the younger generation between the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources and the Fund for Rational Nature Management was signed last year.

Despite such a short period of time, the Republic actively joined in the implementation of the Program and by the end of the year more than 700 organizations of the region joined the "Recycling School: Electronics".

The event contributes to the achievement of the goals of the national project "Ecology", aimed at the development of environmental education, respect for the human environment.
