A seminar on combating corruption was held today at the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan

On the eve of the International Anti-Corruption Day, as well as in order to increase the level of anti-corruption knowledge of state civil servants, a seminar on combating corruption was held at the Ministry of Ecology.

 The event was attended by First Deputy Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan – Chief State Inspector of the Republic of Tatarstan in the field of environmental protection Airat Shigapov, Tatar Interdistrict Environmental Prosecutor of the Republic of Tatarstan Airat Nizamiev and Chief Adviser of the Organizational Department of the Office of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan on Anti-corruption Policy Ruslan Nikonov.

"Corruption is one of the main threats to state and public security, the eradication of the causes and conditions of its occurrence is of particular importance and necessity. The effectiveness of the fight against corruption is impossible without the active interaction of all levels of government, law enforcement agencies and the population of the Republic," said First Deputy Minister Airat Shigapov.

Invited experts examined in detail the rules for providing information on income, expenses, property and property obligations of state civil servants, as well as situations of conflict of interest and the procedure for their settlement.

Employees of all territorial departments of the Ministry also participated in the event via videoconference.
