Meeting of the Interdepartmental Commission on Environmental Safety, Nature Management and Sanitary and Epidemiological Welfare in the Republic of Tatarstan

Today, the meeting of the Interdepartmental Commission on Environmental Safety, Nature Management and Sanitary and Epidemiological Welfare in the Republic of Tatarstan chaired by the Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Artem Sidorov took place in the form of a videoconference in the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan.

     The issue regarding preparation for a two-month sanitary and ecological campaign on cleaning the municipal territories and city districts of the Republic of Tatarstan from April 1 to June 1, 2012, was considered at the meeting.

     Members of the Interdepartmental Commission on Environmental Safety, Nature Management and Sanitary and Epidemiological Welfare in the Republic of Tatarstan, representatives of the Prosecutor's Office, heads of structural departments of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan and representatives of mass media took part in the meeting.

     In his opening speech Artem Sidorov said that one of the main tasks of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan as a coordinator of this two-month campaign is to ensure effective informational and organizational cooperation between federal and republican ministries and departments as well as executive committees of municipalities.

     The First Deputy Minister for Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, State Inspector General for Nature Protection of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustem Kamalov made a report on the planning of a two-month sanitary and ecological campaign.

     Personal responsibility for effective organization of ecological surveillance in the city is imposed on the senior staff of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan.

     In his report he pointed out that in view of current preparation for the 2013 Universiade, an organizational form of actions for sanitary and ecological cleaning of Kazan City and its suburbs was fundamentally changed.

     The Chairman of the Committee on External Improvement of the Executive Committee of Kazan City Municipality Igor Kulyazhev also made a report at the meeting.

     The Head of the Executive Committee of Naberezhnye Chelny Municipality Latypov Farhad, the First Deputy Head of the Executive Committee of Almetyevsk Municipal District, the Head of the Executive Committee of Almetyevsk Municipality Nikolay Bogdanchikov and the Head of the Executive Committee of Nizhnekamsk Municipality Radik Vafin made their speeches in the form of videoconferences, too.
