“Water Treasures of Russia”, All-Russian photo-contest of water landscapes of the native land, started

Tatarstan amateur photographers are invited to participate in the All-Russian photo-contest of water landscapes of the native land,“Water Treasures of Russia”. The event is organized by the Federal Agency of Water Resources under the Year of Ecology in Russia. The contest is open to photographers-residents of the Russian Federation above 16 y.o. Pictures should be sent in electronic form to the official website of the Federal Water Resources Agency from 1 December 2016 to 1 October 2017.

Categories:

1. “Landscapes” –pictures of landscapes where water bodies are key point.

2. “People and Water” – pictures of people on water or in near it.

3. “Civilization and water” –pictures of water and embankments, bridges, cityscapes, enterprises, beacons, and other technical facilities, except for technical plants.

4. “Waterworks” –pictures of water and dams, hydroelectric power plants, spillways, and drain water outlet structures, tunnels, canals, pumping stations, navigation locks, boat lifts, and other waterworks.

5. “Water is cradle of life” –pictures of water bodies and their inhabitants.

6. “Water is force of nature” –pictures of natural disasters on water bodies.

7. “Water through the eyes of a child” –pictures of water and water bodies, without scene restrictions. For the pictures taken by the children aged 6 to 16 years.

8. “Promotion of environmental safety” –pictures that promote environmental protection, nature protection activities, environmental safety, particularly for water use. In this category a collage anda computer processing of pictures in style of social advertisingcan be used.

9. “Take care of shore” – picturesthat show cleaning the shoreline of water bodies, such as organized large-scale events and local shore cleaningactivities.
