Young Tatarstan teachers passed “green GTO”

Application of environmental standards in everyday life and in the construction of houses, knowledge of healthy eating rules and methods used in the solid waste sorting – such issues were discussed by young teachers of Tatarstan. The Republican pedagogical school of young teachers - 2017 was held in the educational and recreational center“Duslyk”. As part of the school, the participants got acquainted with the project “Green GTO” (GTO – “Ready for Labor and Defense” in Russian). The event was held in two stages: test and anpractical. Test partcontained questions regarding separate wastecollection, social advertising, healthy eating and animal care. The practicalpart included 5 sites: “EcoHouse”, “Ecomarket", “Separate waste collection”, “Yashel Tatarstan”, “Properties of waste”, where the participants of the examination were required to demonstrate their environmental thinking. 127 young teachers from all over the republic have successfully passed the tests. The project “Green GTO” is organized by the Regional Youth Public Organization “Center for Development of volunteering” of the Republic of Tatarstan for the purpose of raising the level of ecological culture of Tatarstan youth.

Organizers of the Republican pedagogical school of young teachers are the Council of young teachers of the Republic of Tatarstan, the National union of educators, and the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tatarstan. The main purpose is to increase the level of competence of the young teachers and the motivation of future teachers to improve their skills.
