4 November 2016, Friday

Inspectors of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan carried out an inspection today in Zvanka village of Pestretsy districtto check for compliance with the orders on demolition of an illegal construction. A brick fence on the bank of the Unnamed Lake (comon name - the Zvanka Lake) restricting public access to the water body was detected as early as in the beginning of 2016. The process was complicated by the fact that the owner of the land plot adjacent to the illegal construction did not live there. Following the results of an administrative investigation, ecological specialists found out that the owner had purchased the house in 2015 already with violations, so he denied his implication in this building. Considering the fact that the fence had been erected on the territory of the municipal land, the executive Committee of Pestretsy district decided to demolish an illegal construction without legal proceedings. The violation has been eliminated today using heavy machinery. "A 20-meter coastal area is meant for public use. All the citizens have the right to rest, walk, and fish here. This is the law. We strictly adhere to it", acknowledged Zubeyda Sattarova, Head of Koschakovskoe rural settlement. "Over this year, inspectors of the Ministry of Ecology revealed more than 1.5 thousand violations in the field of the use and protection of water facilities. The fines in the total amount of 8.5 million rubles have been imposed on the offenders", reported Deputy Head of the Central Territorial Department under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, AlmazIsmagilov. - "The claims over 43 facts of restriction of free access of citizens to the public water body and its coastal area (Article 8.12.1 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation) have been lodged at the courts of various resorts. Administrative investigations have been initiated over other facts".

Raids of inspectors on revelation and prevention of the violations of the Water Protection Legislation, as well as inspections on compliance with the issued instructions are continued.
