Ecological specialists and students cleaned the coastal area of the Kama River

The large-scale campaign "Clean shore" was held in Chistopol. Specialists of the Volga-Kama Territorial Department under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan together with the Executive Committee of Chistopol and students of Chistopol Agricultural Vocational School cleaned the coastal area of the Kama River from empty bottles and PE bags. All in all, 9 cubic meters of litter were collected. "Today's campaign is another step to putting everything in order.  It is worth noting that the students are very scrupulous when it comes to such events, since they understand that pollution of beaches and coastal areas can lead to dreadful consequences", acknowledged ecological specialists. The aim of the event is to attract attention of authorities and public to the problem of preservation of the river that is not only the national pride, but also a valuable strategic natural asset.
