The first session of the working group on preparation for the Year of Ecology is planned to be carried out in Moscow in two months in the framework of the international exposition and forum “Ecotech”, as informs the official website of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation.
Head of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation, Sergey Donskoy, repeatedly acknowledged that the Year of Ecology implied liability for the business, and for the federal and regional authorities: “The year will present additional incentives and opportunities to adopt a more efficient model of administration. As for the “ecological underachievers”, this year will be the time of dictatorship of the nature-protection legislation. Real actions, programs, projects and initiatives will be the main result of the Year of Ecology, and its effect will be perceived both on the scale of isolate cities and regions, and on the scale of the whole country”.
Currently, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation has received more than 1,200 suggestions from all regions with regard to the eventsto be carried out during the Year of Ecology. Meanwhile, it is planned to integrate all the eventsscheduled for the Year of Specially Protected Natural Areas into the Year of Ecology – this will allow not to repeat the projects, but to concentrate on the real work, as it is reported on the websiteof the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation.
