“For rivers, water, and life!”

The event devoted to the Day for Protection of Rivers, Water, and Life was held today at Nursery No. 5 of Aznakaevo under the slogan “For rivers, water, and life!” Experts of the Priikskoe Territorial Department participated in it. The ecological and educational event aimed at dissemination of ecology-related knowledge among the youth of the Republic, fostering of responsible attitude to natural resources and environment, formation of the ecology-oriented mindset, as well as support and development of the system of continuous ecological education and enlightenment in the Republic of Tatarstan.

The Day for Protection of Rivers, Water, and Life is held every year on February 14th. The main aim of the campaign is to turn attention of the mankind to the global problem of control of rivers through construction of large dams and reservoirs that have negative impact on the ecosystems and the natural habitat.
