The Water alley was opened in Kazan

Today, the interactive educational Water Alley with technological and creative amusement rides was opened in Kazan on the square in front of the theatre of G. Kamal. The solemn ceremony included the Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Artem Sidorov, Director of the Department for State Policy and Regulation in the field of water resources under the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation Dmitry Kirillov, Ambassadors of the World Championship: Vice-President of the All-Russian Diving Federation Gleb Galperin, chief coach of the water polo team “Synthesis-Academy” Irek Zinnurov, the President of the Underwater Sports Federation of the Republic of Tatarstan Dmitry Shiller.

Director of the Department for State Policy and Regulation in the field of water resources Dmitry Kirillov acknowledged that the event is aimed at dissemination of the idea of careful attitude to natural resources.  According to Kirillov, water resources constitute the domain that we should preserve for the future generation. Careful attitude should be inherent in every person. In his welcoming speech, Artem Sidorov distinguished the work aimed at improvement of the quality of water resources and assurance of ecological safety of the region regarding creation and reconstruction of hydro-technical utilities, coastal protection and straightening of riverbeds. “The status of the most abundant in water constituent entity in the Federal district holds liable”, it was acknowledged by the Minister of Ecology. According to him, owing to implementation of large-scale water projects under the auspices of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation, cultural pearls of Tatarstan shone in new splendor – the ancient city Bolgar and the city-isle Sviyazhsk, as well as millenary old Kazan.

The Water Alley is held in the framework of the Federal Target Program “Water of Russia”. Special photokiosks were arranged for the visitors allowing to picture them against backgrounds of various picturesque water landscapes. A big 3D image is drawn on the pavement of the city park. A large-scale advertisement unit is envisaged on the Water alley for children including team competitions in a tabletop game “Our water”, face painting, the contest of drawings about water, quizzes with prizes, and delivery of balloons. The water screens air educational movies on water resources of Russia and musical break bumpers.

Free WiFi is available at the Water Alley so that the visitors of the interactive site can post their photos in the social media right away. The use of such hashtags as #явода (Iwater), #берегуводу (careforwater) and #водароссии (Russianwater) will allow each guest to get a souvenir from the Federal Target Program “Water of Russia”.
