On May 3, the whole world celebrates the Day of the Sun. The festive date was established by the International Society of Solar Energy in 1994. The main goal of the holiday is to concentrate the efforts of intellectuals of the whole planet on the development of ways of wide use of renewable energy sources, presented to us by nature. The percentage of current consumption by mankind of the enormous energy of the Sun, sea waves, wind, regular tides and outflows is impermissiblely low.

On the eve of the 72nd anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, an Alley of Veterans was opened in Neftegrad. War veterans, workers of the rear, honorary citizens of the city and district and inspectors of the South-Eastern Territorial Administration of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan came to plant Siberian ornamental apples. As participants of the action noted, the new trees will made the city much greener.

More than 2,000 tree seedlings were planted in the city streets. The representatives of the city's executive power, employees of the Volga-Kama territorial administration of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, activists of the Young Guard of United Russia, volunteers of the environmental movement Budetchisto also joined the environmental action. The main work on greening of the area was carried out on Stekolshchikova Street. 

Almetyevsk kindergarten No.4 hosted an eco-fashion show. Costumes of astrologer, Princess-Frog, Malvina, cowboy, and other fairy-tale characters were presented to the audience by young models. The materials for the original costumes were improvised: trash bags, plastic bags, newspapers, boxes.

Interconnection of living organisms on the Earth, rational use of natural resources, ways to improve the environment. These and other ecology issues were raised by the students of Nizhnaya Maktama school No. 2 in Almetyevsk at the discussion “The Earth is our common home”. Experts at the event were specialists from the South-Eastern Territorial Administration of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan. They told the children about the importance of careful attitude to natural resources and the desire to save all that lives on the planet.
