A large-scale ecological campaign was held today in Kazan on the beach "Nizhnee Zarech'e". Fellow workers of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, members of the youth team of the Russian Geographical Society, hard-of-hearing adolescents participating in the social project "Expanding the boundaries", as well as the members of the underwater research team of the Russian Geographical Society n.a. Alexey Leonov, and young female representatives of the public organization "Little princesses of Tatarstan" collected litter today from the territory of the beach and cleaned the bottom of the water body. Participants of the first ecological rafting along the Kazanka River were met here as well. As

The Public Chamber of the Russian Federation arranged the "Hot line" to monitor ecological violations. Citizens can report illegal landfills, discharges of industrial waste, cutting down of trees and taking over of recreation areas. Arrangement of such a "Hot line" will promote creation of the All-Russian Register of ecological violations, which will allow to enter the Year of Ecology with the up-and-running

The Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan announced the All-Russian contest of children's drawings "Multicolored drops". It is aimed at popularization of careful attitude to water and water resources among young people, fostering of respectful attitude in the young generation to water through development of the creative potential, as well as enhancement of the importance of careful attitude to water bodies, and involvement of children in the ecological activity. All who are not indifferent to the ecology-related matters are invited to participate in the International Forum-Festival of Eco-creative work "Baikal. The Point of Return 2016". The event will be carried out at the Recreation facility "BaikalTrack" (Lake Baikal, the Small Sea) from July 31 to August 6. The participants will depart from Irkutsk on July 31 and on August 6 - they will depart from Baikal. The event is organized by the Autonomous Non-commercial Organization "Tvortsy". The
