From October 18 to October 22, Moscow will host the Third Environmental Week

From 18 to 22 October 2017 in Moscow on Manezhnaya Square will be held the Third Environmental Week, organized with the support of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation. It is expected that the event will become one of the cultural events of the Year of Ecology and specially protected natural areas, and the number of visitors will reach several thousand people.

On the opening of the Third Ecological Week, a special “green teleconference” with the XIX World Festival of Youth and Students in Sochi will be organized.

The key events of the business program will be: the Youth Environmental Forum, the meeting of the working group of the State Commission for the Development of the Arctic under the leadership of the Minister of Natural Resources and Environment of the Russian Federation Sergey Donskoy, the open session of the open Government dedicated to the environmental responsibility of business, and the round table “Environmental Safety of nuclear Industry”.

Within the framework of the basic program of ECO Week, a number of cultural and educational events will be held, open to citizens and aimed at creating an ecological culture. There will be the international week of ecological fashion, the festival of environmental cinema in a spherical cinema, the opening of an exposition of environmental art and interactive art space, the opening of the largest interactive zoo in Europe, the green lecture hall, etc. In a separate exhibition pavilion, visitors will be able to learn about the latest achievements of science and production in the field of environmental protection and energy conservation, including technologies for processing plastics, creating biofuels, using solar energy, and learning about the prospects for ecotourism development in Russia.
