On November 26, people of Tatarstan can demonstrate their knowledge of natural sciences. Dictation on the science of the earth will take place throughout the country and abroad

Knowledge of the natural resources of the country, minerals and their deposits can be useful to residents of Tatarstan on November 26. On this day, in all regions of Russia and abroad a third geographical dictation, organized by the Russian Geographical Society, will be held.
The test work can be written on specially organized venues or online (on the project website: dictant.rgo.ru). The dictation will include 30 test tasks, divided into three blocks. The first block consists of questions that determine the level of knowledge of scientific concepts and terms. The second is aimed at training of skills in using the map. The third – the identification of geographical objects in the travelers' diaries and excerpts from art works. For successful completion of all tasks, the participants receive points, maximum number is 100.
Geographic dictation has been conducted since 2015. The first dictation was written by 71,929 people, and already 187,187 people took part in the second event. At the end of 2016, the Republic of Tatarstan showed good results in geographical knowledge. The average score for the region was 61, which is significantly higher than the national average (52). The best participants of the dictation were the participants aged 19-25, the average score of this age group was 79.3 points.
