More than 7 thousand notifications on environmental violations in the past academic year. Results of contest “School eco patrol” were summed up in Kazan today. The solemn ceremony of rewarding the winners gathered the most active schoolchildren of the republic who, following the results of 2016-2017 academic year, found the largest number of unauthorized dumps. The best in the third season of the environmental project were students of Kazan, Nizhnekamsk, Almetyevsk, Cheremshany, Spassk and Yutaz districts. “The popularity of the contest “School eco-patrol” increases every time. Compared with the first season of the project, this year the number of appeals increased 7-fold. This shows how important our work is and how actively our schoolchildren take part in it,” – said Farid Abdulganiev, Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan. He thanked the leadership of the republic for the support, and noted the well-coordinated work of all nature protection bodies. The importance of this project was noted by Vasily Shaikhraziev, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan. According to him, this republican program allows each schoolchild to be active, to show problems and ways to solve them: “It is gratifying that there are concrete results of work of schoolchildren who carry goodness, cleanliness and order to our republic.” Fatih Sibagatullin, a deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, spoke positively about the fact that the work goes in the right direction. “It's nice that our children care of the surrounding nature. This means that we are on the right path to the formation of an ecological society,” he noted.
Active assistants of environmentalists received today phones, tablets, electric cars, segways, the best classes were awarded with digital microscopes and projectors.
Within the framework of the event, certificates were handed to public inspectors. Those who can not participate in the school Eco-patrol due to age restrictions, are now public inspectors of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan.
Recall, from September 1, 2017, the IV republican contest “School Eco Patrol” started. To participate, you need to install a mobile application “School Eco Patrol” on your phone, with which you can record an unauthorized dump or discharge of sewage into the terrain and send a photo or video message to the Ministry of Ecology of Tatarstan.
